T&C strengthens with 4 new hires and senior management promotion

In demand Thompson & Co. Public Relations expanded its team and technical services with the addition of four strategic new hires and the promotion of Ashleigh Carson to senior account manager. 

Joining T&C are Multimedia Manager Jared Mazurek, Junior Digital Strategist Sophie Gross, Account Coordinator Emily Garlock and Account Coordinator Latonya Johnson. 

Jennifer Thompson, president and CEO of T&C, expressed her enthusiasm for the agency’s growth and evolution. “It’s energizing that the agency is growing in such a meaningful and deliberate way,” said Thompson. “I’m mostly excited to welcome this new generation to the workforce as each person brings a unique background, experience and offers a fresh perspective and application to today’s range of communication tools to T&C.”

Ashleigh Carson joined T&C in 2017 and was recently promoted to senior account manager. “Ashleigh exemplifies our core values and was recognized earlier this year with the inaugural Ampersand Award for embracing transparency, honesty and trust,” said Thompson. “Her clients and teammates benefit from her unwavering commitment to client success, exceptional dedication and strategic insights. Whether she’s working a large event or an everyday task, she works with both grace and force.”

Carson is consistent in her ability to lead and innovate within the T&C team. Her promotion reflects not only her growth but also her continued impact at the agency. She is also a newly appointed board member of the Girl Scouts of Alaska. 

Jared Mazurek, a seasoned professional with experience in news, photojournalism and film, has joined T&C as a multimedia manager. Mazurek’s 17 years of experience covering stories throughout Alaska will greatly contribute to the agency’s ability to create authentic and compelling video content for its clients.

Sophie Gross was hired as a junior digital strategist, with a strong background in content creation and influencer relations. Gross holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Washington State University and previously worked in Los Angeles, providing content creation assistance to a popular TikToker. Her experience provides a creative perspective to the digital team. 

Emily Garlock, a new account coordinator, brings a unique perspective with her bachelor’s degree in history and cognitive science from Minerva University. Her experience in copywriting and event coordination, along with her global view and international experience shaped from her degree, compliment the varied work of this role. 

Latonya Johnson is an account coordinator with a bachelor’s degree in media and entertainment from Kennesaw State University with an acute awareness of meaningful analytics and metrics. With a respect for research and passion for following trends, she’s a natural when it comes to understanding client needs and developing pitches that lead to results. Johnson is based in Atlanta, adding to a growing team of remote contributors based in the South Atlantic region.
