CASE STUDY: ANSEP

Working with the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program for nearly five years, Thompson & Co. develops an annual comprehensive public relations plan for ANSEP that encompasses everything from traditional media relations to digital marketing.

MEDIA RELATIONS

The agency promotes ANSEP across Alaska through earned media by pitching stories to outlets in hubs such as Anchorage but also to local media in smaller communities such as Bethel and Nome. In addition, T&C supports national media relations for ANSEP, including nearly annual editor briefings in New York City and Washington, D.C.

SOCIAL MEDIA

T&C launched ANSEP’s Instagram and Twitter feeds years ago and still maintains content on those platforms as well as Facebook.

VIDEOGRAPHY

Rather than spend money on high production costs and ad buys, ANSEP has chosen over the past couple of years, to promote its brand more online in owned channels, such as its website and social media feeds. T&C has developed a number of videos for ANSEP to promote its different components as well as strategic partners.
