T&C’s three offices are perfectly positioned to take part in International Museum Day, which many museums are celebrating by offering free admission today, May 18. The agency’s Manhattan office shares an island with the world-famous MOMA and Guggenheim, and it may surprise people to hear that Houston is not just home to T&C but more than 150 museums. Perhaps even more shocking is the flourishing museum scene in T&C’s hometown of Anchorage.

In Anchorage, T&C’s headquarters is located a stone’s throw from the Anchorage Museum. Its mirrored façade dominates the view as we walk down the office hallway. Often times you will find us spending lunch at the museum, and it is a favorite spot to take our friends and family who come to Alaska to visit. T&C is also honored to work with the Anchorage Museum regularly on behalf of a number of clients. Just today, Anchorage Account Manager Bri Kelly and Account Coordinator Kailee Wallis visited the museum for a behind-the-scenes tour of its new expansion. Anyone else who visits today is in for a treat, too – free admission as part of International Museum Day.

While the Big Apple’s big museums draw plenty of tourists, our T&C New York team appreciates some of the city’s lesser-known museums even just as much. The Rubin Museum of Art is located just around the corner from our NYC digs, and its collection of nearly 4,000 Himalayan pieces should not be missed. Another gem that our New York staff recommends is the Morgan Library & Museum, which houses an impressive collection of written works as well as other artifacts and is offering free admission all day.

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, where our own Houston Vice President Liz Baker volunteers, is also offering free admission today. See a Van Gogh, Monet or Matisse. Visit before May 21, and enjoy “Adios Utopia: Dreams and Deceptions in Cuban Art Since 1950,” the largest modern Cuban exhibit in existence. Can’t make it this week? Don’t worry! MFAH offers free general admission every single Thursday night as well as numerous free family events throughout the year.
