Strategic Messaging

The Challenge

From cruise lines and travel media to Alaska tourism professionals and company shareholders, Huna Totem Corporation relies on Thompson & Co. PR to help keep all of its various audiences informed of major announcements. T&C recently orchestrated an announcement to all audiences when Norwegian Cruise Line donated a parcel of waterfront property in Juneau to the corporation.

The Approach

T&C edited and distributed a press release on behalf of Huna Totem Corporation to announce the land donation. Timed to immediately follow NCL's release, T&C was able to assist Huna Totem in crafting the message that was important for its audiences to hear.

Media Relations

With any news release or media pitch, T&C is focused on reaching the media outlets that a client's audiences will hear, read or watch. For Huna Totem Corp. that means reaching local Alaska media read by shareholders and industry professionals; travel trade media read by cruise executives; and national travel media read by travelers. We tweak the release slightly for each audience to ensure each message speaks to their interests.
